Dillingham Fountains

Dillingham Fountains

The Dillingham Fountain is an icon of the Ithaca College campus, six man made gayers shooting into the air with the lake and the hills off in the distance. There are sets of picnic tables above the stairs leading up to the fountain and a small grove of bushes and a tree with a bench under it alongside the fountain. While not the most plant filled location on campus, both of these areas make for good locations to eat lunch, get some work done, or just sit outside. While sitting at the picnic tables you can glimpse a view of bright blue Cayuga lake in the distance, or the football field much closer. The bench under the tree provides some shade and a little nook surrounded by green. On windy days be prepared to be misted on regardless of where you sit. Depending on the context it could be wonderfully refreshing or vary annoying.
