Mindful walking in IC's largest green space.
Follow whatever path you feel like taking and don’t set an end destination for yourself. Match the pace of walking with the pace of your thoughts. If your thoughts are quiet and meandering, walk slowly. If you have a lot to think about, walk quickly. Change your pace as your thoughts change. If you find your thoughts getting out of control, try to slow your pace and slow your thinking. Walk as long as you want to.
Stop in the middle of your walk off to the side of the trail and imagine that you are a tree in the woods surrounding you. Think about the roots growing from your feet and extending down into the ground and imagine you head standing tall in the canopy and your arms spreading to the sky above you. What type of tree are you? What types of animals live in branches?
